Thermoelectric cooler power supply
and laser diodes array control unit
PSC-120.2

Application

Thermoelectric cooler (TEC) power supply and laser diodes array (LDA) control unit PSC-120.2 ensure LDA temperature maintenance, pumping current pulses time parameters management and LDA PSL-120.1 power supply output current pulses amplitude measurement.

Functions

LDA has constant specified temperature because of current in TEC changes.

LDA pumping current pulses time parameters and operational temperature setup is done by build-in control items or by commands transferred from PC via serial port RS-485. LDA current pulses measured amplitudes and LDA temperature is displayed on build-in digital display and transfer to PC. Combined synchronous action of some power supply units is foreseen.

Primary power source’s requirements

  • Power supply at +58V: voltage deviation – not more than +5%, used pulsed current – not more than 10A, average used current – 130mA. It is recommended to use C-L-C ore active filter in this supply. In this case it is possible to decry supply voltage till +55V.
  • Power supply at +12V: voltage deviation – not more than +10%, used pulsed current – not more than 0.1A, average used current – 60mA.
  • Power supply at -12V: voltage deviation – not more than +10%, used current – not more than 15mA.
